The Coventry and Rugby GP Alliance aims to enhance the delivery of health and care services to our local population. The Coventry and Rugby GP Alliance was incorporated on 13th June 2014 as a private company limited by shares. The Alliance is wholly owned by Coventry and Rugby GP practices, who are shareholders with ‘A’ voting shares and ‘B’ equity shares. Whilst the Alliance is a new organisation, the member practices have a rich heritage in the delivery of high quality, accessible and responsive primary care in Coventry and Rugby. The Alliance has a Board of Directors made up of GPs and senior NHS employees with more than 200 years of experience. We currently have 84% of General Practices in Coventry and Rugby signed up as members who collectively serve almost 400,000 patients and our membership is continuing to grow. Our members remain independent organisations, but collaborate in the further development of local primary care. The Alliance firmly believes that this model of collaborative working is the most desirable for our patients with practices enjoying many benefits of being part of a collective organisation.
