The mission of The Renaissance International school is to provide children with an international center of learning and culture that is open, supportive and multidisciplinary where children can develop and achieve their highest potential. Founded in 1992 by Leslie Hites, The Renais­sance Inter­na­tional School (TRIS) is an inde­pen­dent Montessori school located on two campuses, Oak­land and Piedmont. Our pro­gram includes French, English, and Span­ish lan­guage immer­sion. The Montessori curriculum explores the realms of mathematics, literature, the sciences, history, geography, and the arts including: - The European model of unified math, beginning algebra, geometry and logic to children as young as three. - An emphasis on history, geography and world culture. - Botany.zoology.physics, chemistry, earth science and astronomy. - The renowned Hungarian Kodaly music program, as well as a comprehensive Fine Arts program. We pro­vide a high-quality edu­ca­tion designed so that chil­dren from 2 years through Jr High become com­pas­sion­ate, capa­ble, con­fi­dent, cre­ative indi­vid­u­als who are pre­pared for life. They suc­ceed in high school, col­lege and beyond.
