The WIT (Women in Technology) Network is a community of professionals in the Microsoft Echo System across the world that believe in making it easier for women to imagine, begin, and develop a career in IT. There are over 80 chapters in over 40 countries that provide a vast and varied network of events, contacts, and opportunities! Mission and Mandate 1. Attract, retain and encourage girls and women to embrace STEM/STEAM education and careers. 2. Encourage and inspire women to advance into leadership positions in and/or to start their own businesses. 3. Provide mentorship opportunities that span the entire career of every woman. 4. Continue our philanthropic efforts that make STEM/STEAM education available to all women. 5. Help other organizations define and implement effective diversity and inclusion strategies. 6. Start a WIT Chapter in every country in the world! 7. Provide pre-packaged programs and resources to ensure consistency and make it easy for each chapter to operate. 8. Solicit regular feedback from our members to ensure we are meeting the needs of our communities. 9. Embrace collaboration opportunities with other WIT groups (ie Women in Cloud, Women at Microsoft, WIT at other technology firms, etc.) to extend our impact. 9. Become a leader in providing WIT Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) pre-packaged solutions to IT organizations globally. 10. Maximize funding available to drive value for BOTH our members and sponsors.
