The Michigan Warriors Hockey Program (MWHP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that uses the game of hockey as a platform for providing Disabled Veterans a healthy and active lifestyle and means to remain engaged with their military brothers and sisters while supporting and giving back to the communities they live in. Since its establishment in 2014, the Michigan Warriors Hockey program has evolved from a small group of Veterans playing pick-up hockey to a professional-level organization with over 80 active members from all over the state of Michigan. In addition to competing in veteran and first responder hockey tournaments around the country, members of the Michigan Warriors Hockey Program also regularly participate in local charity programs and social betterment efforts.
