Hands for Africa is a 501 c 3 nonprofit organization headquartered in Tustin, CA. We believe in giving a hand up, not a handout. Our founding mission is to restore hope to the survivors of the devastating blood diamond trade in Sierra Leone by giving survivors and their families’ educational scholarships and prosthetic limbs in order to break the cycle of poverty. In 2017, we expanded our reach to help those in need in our own backyard. Our Project USA: HandsUp4Health program focuses on aiding low income after school programs in Southern California that were affected by the educational budget cuts. We give these programs sports equipment, healthy snacks and meals, and educational tools.
