eWINGZ is the specialist in process digitization in the aviation industry The company places value on seamless and secure data exchange when automating processes. Unique identity for all components Continuous cross-company digital processes are presented in the areas of production, operation and maintenance of aircraft and their components. In addition, components and assemblies receive a "unique identity", which they keep throughout their lives. In addition to barcodes and 2D Data Matrix, UHF RFID is increasingly being used to mark these so-called "unique identities" Ultra-High-Frequency (UHF) Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) is a technology used for transceiver systems for the automatic and non-contact identification and localization by means of radio waves - which facilitates reading and capturing the data stored behind it. For this purpose, labels, so-called RFID TAGs are used to make all components traceable. To ensure a secure exchange of data, the TAGs are sealed by asymmetric cryptographic encryption. At the same time, a digital fingerprint (hash) is created and stored in the blockchain invariably. The TAGs are produced in such a way that they can no longer be removed from the component; when trying to detach them from the surface, they are inevitably destroyed. All measures aim at the highest possible security to prevent manipulation and reuse. Parallel to the hash value in the blockchain, all associated metadata and event data are stored encrypted in a globally distributed database. This ensures secure and controlled access to the data by the industry. This “unique identiy” links all life cycle data of a part to its digital twin.
