Kamukama Foundation was established in 2012 as a grassroots organization purposed to intervene into the critical state of education in Uganda. Junior Kamukama (7) was the humble story that severely exposed the education conundrum in the village, which inspired us on this journey to ‘save-the-Kamukamas’. This was launched in Buhoma Village (Western Uganda) to offer sustainable solutions to the lack of education, miserable child welfare, school drop outs, poor quality education, poor skilling of the youth and staggering poverty in the area. Over 350 children in the community have been offered a life-time opportunity to quality learning. We aim for local level presence, where strong commitment to local partnership and collaboration is a hallmark for our community development programs Kamukama Foundation is objectively at the transformation forefront to lead socio-economic change, through education and skilling of the youth of Uganda to achieve their full potential. Our programs give HOPE to the poor of the poorest; spiritually, physically, emotionally and economically. The benevolent support from our donors is equipping the youth with fundamental life changing skills in leadership, entrepreneurship and soft skills among others.
