The Poverty Eradication Program (PEP) in Bangladesh began its important work of eradicating poverty in rural areas of the country in 1985. Through an efficient and effective holistic model of poverty eradication addressing all the needs of the extreme hard-core poor in remote, rural areas of Bangladesh, PEP has lifted 67,572 families out of poverty. In 2004, Partners in Sustainable Development International (PSDI) was created in St. Louis to support and promote the work of PEP in the U.S. From one side of the world to the other, we are connecting those in need with those who care deeply about the poor in developing countries. We work closely with our families, by listening, respecting, and always involving them in planning and implementation of their program.
