The Irish Hospital Consultants Association (IHCA) is the representative body for hospital consultants in practice in Irish hospitals. It currently represents in excess of 95% of the profession. The Association was established to promote and support the advancement of the practice of medicine, in all specialties and areas, and the improvement of health services in Ireland. It negotiates with Government, the health sector and others engaged in the provision of hospital services in Ireland.
