We act as an out-sourced R&D innovation center, developing proof-of-concept materials, test methods, instruments, and devices based on client specifications or needs. Cambridge Polymer Group also provides services in the area of medical device cleanliness, a growing topic in the medical device community. We perform tests to assess device cleanliness, and assist clients in design considerations for minimizing cleaning issues. Cambridge Polymer Group heads up a task force at ASTM focused on drafting standards around device cleanliness. We have developed several formulations of ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) for hip, knee and shoulder applications. These technologies have been approved for use by the FDA in several medical implants, and are available for license. We are certified to ISO 9001:2015, accredited to ISO 17025:2005, DEA-licensed, and FDA registered.
