The Encouragement Project is all about helping and encouraging people, and we love to connect people to opportunities and encouragers to those who need it. There are many ways to help and encourage others—with gifts of time, service, provisions, and words. At The Encouragement Project, our heart is to see people encouraged to know and love Jesus more - for out of that life flows service, action, and rest. It is our hope that through this ministry of encouragement, you will find resources for serving Jesus and loving others, a place of rest from expectation, a change of perspective on what can be done, and encouragement to live where you are and to use the gifts you have been given. Our current projects: Hugs and Kisses — This branch of The Project aims to utilize the craftiness of knitters and crochet-ers to make scarves (hugs) and hats (kisses) to share warmth with those in need. We send these contributions to organizations working with the needy. In this, we are working with individuals, churches, retirement centers, and community centers to recruit the “crafty” for this good work. The Book Drop — Literacy is such an incredible gift...one that most of us take for granted. The ability to read opens wonderful doors of imagination, discovery, and learning. Children in low income families have very few (average of 2) books of their own. To help with this need, we collect new and gently used children’s books that are then given to organizations that distribute them to children who greatly benefit from such a gift. Writers Block — The goal of this effort is to work with missionaries and small mission organizations to offer assistance with writing, editing, and graphic design help. There is a great need for better and improved communication from those working in missions to those supporting and following them. We are all created differently, with different abilities, gifts, and capacities for action and knowledge. Be encouraged to use yours fully!
