Founded in 1990, Prime Television is one of the UK’s longest established Crew and Facilities companies providing services to broadcasters, production companies and leading brands for over 30 years. Prime started as a service provider for the News networks, deploying crew and equipment to virtually every major news and sports event over 20 years. In 2001 we were asked to facilitate a revolutionary new TV series called ‘Scariest places on Earth’ for the Fox Network. As one of the world’s first rig shows the brief was to rig an old castle with over 30 cameras integrated seamlessly to an on site production gallery. This successful production established Prime as the UK’s leading facilities company for minicameras, hidden cameras and remote cameras. Our minicam and hidden credits grew including ground-breaking shows such as ‘My New Best Friend’ (Ch4), ‘The Sack Race’ (BBC 2) and Ant & Dec Saturday Night Takeaway (ITV). In addition to large hidden camera rigs we also specialise in building our own camera hides and hidden bodyworn camera rigs. We now have the largest selection of have purpose built camera hides and off the shelf jacket cameras, in the UK. During the pandemic Prime was asked to advise and to supply PTZ camera rig systems for Her Majesties’ Court Service. Prime provided a number of small portable production rigs to allow the Court services to function remotely. Prime’s project management expertise is not just limited to the world of minicams. In 2021 provided the equipped camera crew for G7 Events for Finance, Health, and the Foreign Office. We have also provided crew and equipment camera for large scale international press junkets in numerous locations in the UK around the world.
