The Cluster is founded in 2010 by industrial and academic organizations to support the established Semiconductor Manufacturing and supply chain communities with activities that encourage innovation, communication and collaboration. CMIES aims to set up a shared information platform and coordinate efforts of community projects facilitating the development of the Microelectronics and Industrial Electronics Systems sector and enhancing its competitiveness. The focus of the CMIES activities is directed to the development of national and regional professional networks, educational training, innovation support and consultancy, as well as the implementation of projects and programs supporting European integration and cooperation.
