It was founded in 2018 by Debbey Ryan to give women a voice in business, support and provide resources to help them succeed. The LWCC serves as a platform for women professionals to build relationships and constructive ideas, thoughts, and solutions to positively impact business in the region. Our mission is to create an environment and provide the resources conducive to our members’ business success and is achieved by providing the exposure, business connections and professional development resources for business women to advance and promote their contributions made to the Lafayette community. We give a voice to the women in the Lafayette economy, leveraging their influence with access to innovation and opportunity. We work with and for our members to grow successful and sustainable careers, improving the community of and quality of life in Lafayette. The LWCC is building a community in which its' members assist and teach fellow women how to become successful entrepreneurs, accomplished professionals and effective leaders. Furthermore, we aspire to create a supportive networking system in an environment in which women can reach their utmost potential and achieve success.
