ICSM Surgical Society was established in 2005 to inform and promote a career in surgery as well as facilitate extracurricular surgical training. Part of the Imperial College School of Medicine's Student Union, the club is affiliated with the Royal College of Surgeons and was highly commended by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2012. The society is dedicated to covering a wide spectrum of surgical education and annually hosts numerous lectures, workshops and conferences. Teaching including both anatomical knowledge and practical skills are provided to all students throughout their medical training. Our annual Trauma conference headlines these efforts, bringing together over 250 delegates from all over the world for a 2-day event amalgamating topical lectures and surgical skills workshops. The yearly program is further complemented by a series of specialty days covering the nuances of the various paths in surgery and their relevant practical skills. Reaching over 500 members last year, the society continues to grow and service more people. All members of Imperial College London are welcome to join and most of our events are open to anyone interested in a career in surgery.
