GITAMHyderabad campus was established in 2009 with an admission intake of 240 for all four B.Tech Programmes viz. CSE, IT, EEE, and ECE for the academic year 2009-2010. B.Tech in Civil, Electronics and Instrumentation, Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Programs were started during the academic year 2010-11. B.Tech in Aeronautical Engineering, 5 year dual degree (B.Tech + M.Tech) in ECE and Mechanical Engineering, M.Tech in CSE, andApplied Computer Science &Technology programs were started during the academic year 2011-12. M.Tech programs with specializations in VLSI Design and Power systems & Automation, and Ph.D programs in all engineering branches were introduced during the academic year 2012-2013. The students at Hyderabad campus are from different parts of the country reflecting the multi cultural and multi-linguistic atmosphere truly makes it vibrant and interesting. The innate potential of students with diverse backgrounds is recognized and honed in order to adapt themselves to the varied work culture of the corporate. The knowledge and skills of students are channelized in such a manner where they can apply them to real work/life situations with a true sense of discipline and commitment. At GITAM Hyderabad, the thrust is on application oriented activities which help the students to develop confidence in solving problems in real situations. Importance is also given to industrial exposure, communication skills and social responsibility. Special lectures, seminars, workshops and training programmes are regularly organized.
