Junior Achievement of Alabama
alabama.ja.orgAt Junior Achievement of Alabama (JAA), we believe that we have a responsibility to transform the preparedness of our youth from a mission into a movement. We believe that together, with business and education partners, we can inspire an entire generation to be financially capable, equipped with 21st century skills to think outside the box, manage risk effectively, and welcome opportunity in a complex modern economy. Our volunteer-delivered, kindergarten-12th grade programs foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills, and use experiential learning to inspire students to dream big and reach their potential. JAA inspires students to develop competitive skills and confidence, and their success bolsters the local workforce and contributes to economic growth. JAA is more than small business and lemonade stands. Together with our business, community, and education partners, we are working to empower the next generation to transform "I can't" into "I can" and their dreams into plans. Through our network of more than 1,500 dedicated volunteers, JAA currently serves nearly 30,000 K-12 students statewide in more than 150 schools and organizations.
