The Work Life Balance Centre helps create workplaces that really work. It has a long and successful history in helping people to live happier, healthier, more productive and balanced lives. We work with all sorts of people including large international companies, business teams, small groups, and private individuals. All of these people have something in common – they want to find a way to make a change in their lives for the better. Sine its foundation in 1991 the Centre has grown to become a leading international voice on well being, work life balance, and workplace resilience. Among the topics we address are: developing resilience mindfulness reducing stress creating elite performance workplace wellbeing. For 10 years the Centre was at the hub of a national research project studying health and wellbeing at work – the findings of which have been disseminated around the world. In addition we offer many hands on and practical solutions to those suffering from a range of stress related issues. Among the interventions we offer are: individual coaching, team workshops, psychometric questionnaires large and small group seminars. Julie Hurst, the director of the Centre has a background in psychology, life coaching, performance coaching, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness and hypnotherapy. As such she helps people tackle a wide array of issues from anxiety and phobias to stress and depression. Julie is a frequent speaker at many conferences and seminars throughout the UK and beyond. This unique combination of psychological, behavioural and practical approaches allows the Centre to promote rapid and lasting results whether working with individuals, groups and team, or large conference audiences.
