The Cluster of Excellence is dedicated to the future of digital collaboration of data, models and knowledge in production. We call this vision the Internet of Production. Funded since 2006, we pursue our goal of creating innovative solutions for production technology. Within the Excellence Strategy of Germany we are the only Cluster of Excellence in the area of production technology. Our research is on industrial artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing and materials, smart data infrastructures and usage and the future of work. Our interdisciplinary team includes scientists from RWTH Aachen University and the Fraunhofer-Society from the fields of production technology, computer science, materials science and economics.
