Each year, approximately 380 employees produce over two billion syringes used in clinics, private practices and emergency services, making ALMO one of the worldwide leading producers of disposable syringes. We are a subsidiary of B. Braun Melsungen AG and, as such, part of a global medical technology enterprise. We have been producing syringes since 1963. Their flawless functioning and optimal handling: these are the stipulations we place on our products. The quality of our syringes is certified worldwide, allowing ALMO to offer both patient and user guaranteed safety. The reliable, guiding principles and internal relationships found within our company make up the basis of our mission statement. These are, in fact, the foundation for our work and the organizational culture in all that we do. The history of our company reaches back even further than our experience producing medical devices. We began in 1936 as a family owned business manufacturing equipment for bakeries and pastry makers. Since 1946 we have been located in Bad Arolsen where we, as a company, are very aware of the responsibility we carry for our region and its people. We gladly support local and trans-regional products in an effort to create prospects. Of special importance to us is supporting and promoting young people. In our role as a regional company, we educate and train more than 30 trainees every year.
