770 CHQR- Calgary’s Breaking News and Conversation Station, first went to air on November 17, 1964 and has since been one of Calgary’s leading stations. CHQR remains the home to popular shows such as The Morning News, The Drive, Sports Talk and The Rob Breakenridge Show. Aside from delivering the latest in news, 770 CHQR is the official broadcast voice of the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League. The Stamps have been a fixture on the station every summer and fall since 1992. CHQR'S is part of the community. For more than 30 years the Calgary Children's Foundation has been funding 'kid' focused initiatives in our city and South Alberta.
