Permian Basin STEPS
www.pbsteps.orgThe Permian Basin STEPS Network is a chapter of the National STEPS Network. STEPS is an acronym for Service, Transmission, Exploration, & Production Safety. We are a group of HSE professionals in the oil & gas industry who meet to network, learn and promote a unified culture of safety. The goal of this organization is to promote health, safety, and environmental improvement in the Permian Basin, and to foster a work environment that relies upon open communication and trust. Throughout the year, the Permian Basin STEPS "STOP the Hurt Campaign " is a mission that promotes Stop Work Authority in the Oil and Gas Industry. Stopping jobs that could result in injury and possibly the loss of life is a must to every Oil and Gas Industry employer. PBSTEPS, by contributing monetary awards to employees of these employers for stopping work that could injure or cause death; will raise awareness and promote Stop Work Authority. Five (5) participants will be selected from all entries to receive awards. These 5 will be selected by the PSTEPS Executive Committee. The Permian Basin STEPS Network meets the second Thursday of each month from 8:30am-11:30am at Midland College in the Scharbauer Student Center Carrasco Room (3600 N Garfield Midland TX 79705.) Our meetings are open to any company, independent, or personal representative concerned with the safety of our oil and gas employees across the Permian Basin. Meetings are sponsored by our member companies. For more information regarding PBSTEPS, STOP the Hurt, or details on how to get involved as a member, presenter or sponsor; please contact the Permian Basin STEPS Public Relations, Events, and Education Program Officer, Lindsay Ramirez at [email protected] .
