www.ewitrades.comEmpowered Women in Trades (EWIT) is a not-for-profit organisation, based in Melbourne, whose vision is to increase Female representation throughout Australia whilst changing the perceptions of women in trade-based workplaces. We empower women towards trades through education programs and support each trade-based industry in providing opportunities through healthy work environments. Our programs and services are designed to connect women, schools, industry site partners, employers, unions and VCAL/VET providers to make it easier for females to choose a career as a tradesperson. We offer employers the education and support they need to create a female-friendly workplace culture. Finally, we support female tradespeople throughout their entire career, offering guidance and training to help them progress towards management and business ownership. EWIT envisions a more equitable, balanced workforce that values and prioritises the participation of skilled female tradespeople. We see a future where becoming a skilled tradesperson is a viable and attractive career option for Australian women.
