Natural Systems Engineering is a specialty consulting environmental engineering company specializing in: •design of green stormwater infrastructure including permeable pavements, wetlands, rainwater harvesting systems, and infiltration measures •watershed modeling, hydrologic studies, and TMDLs •green (LEED) construction, and • other engineering studies to support water quality protection and sustainability. Our mission: To support environmental sustainability through modeling and other engineering and scientific analyses. Our primary mission truly supersedes the profit motive, which is why we market our services to governments, non-governmental organizations, environmental advocacy groups, and other not-for-profit stakeholders and perform work on a pro bono basis where merited. We believe in the principles of green design, particularly where these principles dovetail with desirable societal outcomes such as the revitalization of urban centers, promotion of public health, and the conservation of open spaces. We subscribe to the principles of sustainability both on behalf of our clients and for ourselves as a company and individuals. In short we “practice what we preach.”
