Skaigh Engineering, Aluminium Foundry.

www.skaigh.co.uk

We produce quality gravity die castings for a wide range of products and industries. Since 1965 this UK based family run business has been developing new customers and products through the principles of cost price tooling and in-house heat-treatment of castings (at no extra cost). We specialise in aluminium die casting, gravity die casting but also run a small sand casting facility for prototypes and small batch work. Gravity die casting is suitable for mass production and for fully mechanised casting. Key to providing our customers’ with the best possible service is the ability to fully machine the castings we manufacture in house. Skaigh has invested in its CNC capability having a combination of Mazak CNC lathes with live tooling, CNC mills and a Mazak VTC Series II Vertical Machining Centre. The latest investment has been an Ajax V700 mill with 4th axes. Investment in people and the future generation is key to the success of a company. To help this aim our machine shop runs an apprenticeship scheme in association with South Devon College.
