MLER is a not-for-profit corporation in Illinois. It is led by a Board of Directors comprised of practicing attorneys who volunteer their time to ensure quality and efficiency in our Bar Exam Preparation Program, as well as the timely delivery of our organization’s services. MLER is dedicated to the mission of increasing the number of practicing minority attorneys. MLER’s primary activity in completing this mission is the administration of our Bar Exam Preparation Program, which is designed as a supplement course for the Illinois Bar Exam. The program stresses the development of study and exam-taking skills, and our tutors provide extensive advice and counseling to the student during their preparation for the Illinois Bar Exam. Students are advised on how to manage their focus and energy, including strategies for tackling multiple test subjects, during the period prior to the Illinois Bar Exam and throughout the two-day period over which the examination is administered.
