Bridge of Grace Compassionate Ministries Center
www.bridgeofgracecmc.orgBridge of Grace Compassionate Ministries Center is a faith based nonprofit organization out of Many Nations Church of the Nazarene, a multicultural church for a multicultural community. Bridge of Grace was created for the purpose of transforming lives in the Mount Vernon Park neighborhood, located in the heart of southeast Fort Wayne, Indiana. Our neighborhood is made up of various different races and not only that, but almost half of our neighborhood is under 25 years old and another quarter of the neighborhood is between 25 and 44 years old. More than half of our neighbors have an annual income of only $25,000 or less. We believe our mission is to come alongside the marginalized and support them while demonstrating God's love in all we do. Some of the ways we can do this is through the variety of programs we offer. We have afterschool programs for tutoring and mentoring the neighborhood kids that run Monday through Thursday with varying focuses and ages meeting each day. We offer life skills classes for adults that range from ESL classes to financial literacy classes to HEAL Healthy Cooking classes. We have a home revitalization program that is constantly growing and we have a program throughout the summer called Adopt A Block, a program focused on cleaning up the neighborhood and doing small work projects such as weeding and painting for neighbors who are not able to do the job themselves. Also throughout the summer, along with the FWPD and the FWFD, we offer summer camps for the neighborhood kids to learn about careers as firefighters or police officers. There is also a focus on biblical and morals training, not to mention having a lot of fun and building new relationships. Bridge of Grace is committed to our mission to encourage confidence and self-sufficiency by empowering individuals and families through a Christ centered approach that endeavors to meet the spiritual, academic, physical, and emotional needs of our community.
