Farmview Montessori Garden is a small private school offering preschool and Kindergarten, serving children ages 2 1/2 through 6 years of age. With a low teacher/child ratio, Farmview can offer more one on one giving individual attention to each child . The Montessori approach to education aims to aid children in their total development, personal and academic. It is an individual method of education meeting the needs of each in every possible.way. The Method is based on respect for the child and where he/she is in their own personal development. Children move through the classroom at their own pace with individual guidance from teachers. Children needing more help can receive it, and those ready to move forward are able to do so with out any limitation placed on them or needing to wait for other children to catch up. Each child has the ability to progress on their own. The Montessori method promotes independence and simple responsibilities which leads to the development of self esteem and the self confidence needed to take on bigger challenges, such as academics. Children work on social skills, problem solving, and learning respect for others and materials in the classroom This holistic approach helps children develop a love for learning therefore becoming motivated learners.
