Northeast Eye Center was founded in March of 2004 by Dr. Michelle L. Martinez. Dr. Martinez leased space from Sears at North East Mall until she purchased a building and relocated her practice in October of 2015 to 900 W. Pipeline Rd in Hurst. Dr. Martinez is a graduate of the University of Houston College of Optometry. She graduated with Honors in 2002. Her undergraduate work was completed at the University of Notre Dame where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1995. Dr. Martinez is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association, and a member of the Tarrant County Optometric Society. Dr. Martinez is licensed by the Texas Board of Optometry as a Therapeutic Optometrist and Glaucoma Specialist.
