Our program currently consists of three components, focusing on teaching young adults about event management. The three components are: 1) Listen to New York teaches about event planning, the focal point on music. Students will learn about all moving pieces in that field, related occupations and the skill sets an event manager needs. 2) Listen to New York provides musically inclined students with the opportunity of a personalized mini mentorship throughout the time of the course. Mentor and mentee work out a piece that the mentee can then perform at the concluding concert. 3) The concluding concert is a live music experience organized for the students, their parents, teachers and everyone involved. It consists of 3 artists who will perform a half an hour acoustic set each and include their mentee within their performance.
