We want to learn more about their values and beliefs and the experience of life that has formed them. Over the years, we have talked in depth to everyone from Gerry Adams to Benjamin Zephaniah and beyond. We have interviewed artists and scientists, philosophers and activists, newspaper editors and Cabinet ministers. We’ve done soldiers, film directors, sheikhs, archbishops. ‘These are much more interesting questions than I’m usually asked,’ Andrew Motion told us. ‘It is difficult to catch someone’s real voice, but this really does catch mine. Jeremy Paxman emailed us: ‘That is the best interview with me that I have ever read!’ High Profile was the centrepiece of the radical Christian magazine Third Way from 1993 until it folded in 2016.
