The Santa Lucia Chapter Mission is to: * Explore, enjoy and protect the wild places of the earth. * Practice and promote the responsible use of the earth's ecosystems and resources. * Educate and enlist humanity to protect and restore the quality of the natural and human environment. * Use all lawful means to carry out these objectives. The Santa Lucia Chapter is an organization with over 2,000 people and serves the entire San Luis Obispo County. The Chapter relies on member donations and grants to supports its programs, which include marine protection, land management, development of renewable energy and promotes these programs through education and legislative advocacy.
