Union Capital is a private equity firm that specializes in making investments in family owned businesses between $20 million and $200 million in revenues. We have been investing in founder led and family owned businesses since the firm’s founding in 1968. Nearly 50 years of investing has taught us a few lessons on what works and what doesn’t work. So, over the years, we refined our approach to what works for the companies we invest in and management teams we partner with. We built our team by combining seasoned investment professionals with the highest performing CEOs from our former portfolio companies. This enables us to approach each investment opportunity thinking of the needs of both the ownership as well as the management team. We are able to seamlessly execute complex transactions while preserving the highest level of confidentiality. We look for companies capable of significant earnings growth but something is holding it back – known or unknown. We want to partner with a team that, even if they have little experience with them, can embrace a metrics driven, and continuous improvement culture, while not taking all the fun out of business. Our senior team has over 150 years of investing experience and over 150 years of operating experience. We apply the lessons we learned from past investments and we all continue to learn and strive to be better.
