Virgin WiFi, Arqiva WiFi, Spectrum Interactive, NWP Spectrum, NWP Communications, New World Cards and originally New World Payphones .... Quite a journey! During the 21 years (through continuous TUPE) the original team started out (in 1997 from BT) as part of New World Payphones, launching a phonecard business that quickly migrated to notable prepaid mobile phone distribution and then morphed into UK market leaders in internet kiosk and desks. We were among the sector leaders in public WiFi and its commercialisation. As well as being directly involved in a number of company acquisitions we made I was also involved in our own acquisition, initially by Arqiva and more recently by Virgin Media Business (VMB). In the 21 years I had 10 different roles ranging from Operations Director, COO Interactive, Product and Marketing, Commercial Mgt, Sales Director, and Business Development Director, and we originally started as a team of three from BT, and ultimately were over 140 and turnover over £25-30M. https://www.linkedin.com/in/mrdanielgray/ Quite a non-stop journey we’ve been on! Having spent 21 years in the public internet access and WiFi sector, I have taken a few weeks off to travel and catch-up generally. But keen to stay in contact ...
