SENScot - Social Enterprise Network Scotland
www.senscot.netOur Vision Senscot's vision is of a socially just Scotland where social entrepreneurs and their initiatives are a valued part of everyday life. Our Mission To achieve this, Senscot builds and services a network to help social entrepreneurs become more effective. Our Style / Values * We believe that social justice can be measured in the gap between rich and poor in Scotland. Our work will try to close this gap. * We embrace the concept of social capital to signify the level of goodwill between citizens – the glue which binds communities. We will try to think of and express the added value of our work in these terms. * We value the independence of our own network as paramount. We will try to protect this from inappropriate funding or partnership influences. * We embrace the spirit of the `open source` IT community whereby our network makes information openly accessible to foster collaboration. * We will remain responsive to what our networks tell us is required next and we will work with others to create new services for social entrepreneurs. * When appropriate we will encourage new initiatives to develop independence, releasing us to move on to the next challenge. * We would like the style of our work to become identified with words like :– honest – fair – approachable – bold – creative – optimistic – friendly
