The Department of Urban Planning and Policy (UPP) at the University of Illinois at Chicago is a research-driven, vibrant learning environment providing space for students to study the complexities of urban communities. Housed in one of the world's great cities, UPP at UIC has led the way in preparing students for professional and academic careers for over 45 years. Grounded in social equity and sustainability, we use innovative concepts and technology to understand and address urban issues. Our degree offerings spread from the undergraduate to the doctoral level with a focus in city design and urban planning & policy.
