The American College of Psychotherapy was conceived and grew out of a recognition that the clinical practice of mental health counseling has experienced dramatic changes over the past few decades. We aim to promote the profession of psychotherapy, advance the delivery of ethical and qualitative patient care, and provide the educational resources through an interdisciplinary dialogue while developing professional skills and personal growth within an integrative paradigm. The American College of Psychotherapy has assembled a multidisciplinary group of professionals, authors, and experts who can train individuals in psychotherapeutic interventions, as well as a variety of specialties. These skills will enable individuals to design their professional future, define their professional identity, and develop knowledge and expertise that will allow them to distinguish themselves from others.
