Our mission: To foster literary talent and achievement, develop markets for Western Australian writing, and promote excellence in writing as integral to our social, economic and individual well-being. Our vision: A strong Western Australian writing sector and strong markets for Western Australian writing. We pursue our mission and vision by: • promoting Western Australian publications; • providing training and networking opportunities to the Western Australian publishing sector; • increasing revenue streams for professional writers and illustrators; • supporting the professional development of emerging writers and illustrators; • promoting greater use of the Western Australian Public Library Service; • providing free and timely access to relevant industry information; and • continuing to advocate on behalf of the Western Australian writing sector.
