AgriBase Software Solutions
www.agribase.co.zaAgriBase Software Solutions is based in Pretoria and has been developing real-time software solutions for fifteen years. AgriBase Software Solutions (“Agribase”) was established in 2004 as an in-house software development company to develop an end-to-end software package to address the trading, administration and risk management needs of one of the largest Commodity trading members of the JSE. AgriBase developed a Real-Time-Clearing (RTC) system which gave every trader the luxury of viewing every client’s positions in real time. These systems were made accessible to all the clients through a state-of-the-art web portal, where clients could view their positions, draw statements and do their risk management. In 2012 AgriBase registered as a Shared Infrastructure Provider (SIP) to the JSE and started to roll out their systems to other JSE Commodity members. In 2018 AgriBase launched its new trading platform called Atom. Atom was built from the ground up to make full use of all the new technology which has been put in place by the JSE. The new Integrated Trading and Clearing (ITaC) system implemented by the JSE not only brings with it a system change, but a complete shift in operational responsibility of the JSE members; and on top of that they will be implementing new regulations as well. AgriBase developed Atom to be more than a mere trading platform; it is a comprehensive risk management solution. AgriBase furthermore rolled out a network of weather stations throughout the summer rainfall areas, which can be accessed through their custom web portal. These weather stations are fully equipped with cameras and form part of a crop risk modelling solution. AgriBase Software Solutions – “We deliver awesome”
