The Materials and Engineering Research Institute (MERI) brings together a multidisciplinary team of experts dedicated to generating innovative ideas - and making them work for your business. What sets us apart is how we turn our expertise into real-world, commercial applications for our industrial partners. The institute is made up of four research centres: - Centre for Automation and Robotics Research; - Polymers, Nanocomposites and Modelling Research Centre; - Structural Materials and Integrity Research Centre; - Thin Films Research Centre. In addition, in the spirit of collaboration, we draw on relevant experience from across the Sheffield Hallam University, working with healthcare professionals, designers, food scientists and packaging experts.
