genU
www.genu.org.auFor 70 years, genU has provided support and services to people in the community. Our story started in 1952 when a group of Geelong parents dreamed of a world for their children where disability would not stand in the way of their opportunities and potential. Today, with more than 3,600 staff and volunteers across Australia, we remain united in our common mission to empower people to reach their full potential. Every day our work supports thousands of Australians, young through to old from all generations, including people with disability and mental health challenges, seniors, job seekers and students. At genU, we believe in achievements to be accomplished, challenges to be met boldly and adventures to be realised. Our five core values — Welcoming, Innovative, Safe, Empowered and Respectful — support our vision, reflect our goals and shape our culture. We offer a range of services encompassing disability, mental health and aged care, supporting people to be more independent, actively connect with community, and find the right employment or place to call home. The genU family also offers employment services through MatchWorks, accredited and non-accredited training at genU Training, and IPA’s recruitment services across Australia. As a ‘profit for purpose’ organisation, we’re committed to reinvesting our surpluses into services that build inclusive communities.
