Simply, Jamba Hoops Inc. was started and continues to operate with one aim—eliminate cancer. Jamba Hoops Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that serves a singular purpose to promote, develop, and support various nonprofit organizations, including but not limited to the American Cancer Society ("ACS"). Currently, our main fundraiser is the Jamba Hoops annual 3-on-3 basketball tournament held in Minster, Ohio on the Saturday of Easter each year and is geared towards raising money for the ACS (the "Tournament"). On April 7, 2012, we will be holding the 6th annual Jamba Hoops Tournament and hope to raise over $2,000 during this event. In just a mere six years of operations, our life-time donation total has eclipsed $17,000 for the ACS. The Tournament is operated and run only by volunteers and everything used during the tournament is 100% donated. The volunteers are usually high school and college students who are active and eager to help run a fun and exciting tournament for young as well as older local athletes in order to raise money for an extremely worthy cause and to enhance community support, strengthen local bonds, and promote spirit and pride among the community. Donations include everything from a to z such as large as the facility used for the event and as small as the poster board on which we write the brackets. We take great pride in being able to run the ENTIRE Tournament using only donated materials in order to maximize the proceeds for the ACS.
