Hamilton Distillers Group produces award-winning, "grain-to-glass", American single malt whiskies crafted in the Scottish style under the brand Whiskey Del Bac. Founded by father and daughter, Stephen and Amanda Paul, the Hamilton Distillery based in Tucson, Arizona is nationally known for its portfolio of American single malts — Dorado, Classic, and Old Pueblo. Stephen and his wife Elaine owned a successful mesquite wood custom furniture company. One night while they were drinking Scotch and barbecuing with mesquite, Elaine asked the famous question — "What would happen if you used mesquite instead of peat to make Scotch?" Intrigued to find out, Stephen went to work to craft an American single malt that was mesquited instead of peated. In 2011, he and Amanda officially launched their whiskies in Tucson, AZ. Today, Hamilton Distiller's Group continues to make those three core American single malts — as well as their Distiller's cut series and limited releases each year.
