www.kcfamilysystems.org- Mission Statement - The KC Center for Family and Organizational Systems is a 501(c) 3 organization dedicated to accurately representing, applying and expanding Bowen family systems theory in the regional area. Through this effort and efforts of others, it may lead to a more scientific understanding of human behavior. The intent of the variation in programs offered by the Center is to be open to all interested individuals in learning to apply Bowen family systems theory to their personal and professional lives and assist in effectively managing the challenges they face individually, in their families, organizations and communities. The mission is met through providing programs, education and training, consultation and conferences. - History of KC Center - The KC Center for Family & Organizational Systems, (DBA, KC Center for Family Systems) was co-founded in 1996 by Margaret Otto, LSCSW, and Kathy Riordan, LSCSW, LCMFT, for the purpose of representing, applying, and expanding Bowen family systems theory in the regional area. Margaret Otto has been the Director since its inception with Kathy Riordan, who served as Associate Director until 2015 and currently serves as the Faculty Coordinator of Postgraduate Education & Training Series.
