The Give Team is the only inner city obstacle course racing team in the country based in the Parramore neighborhood of Orlando, once named one of America's most dangerous communities. The Give Team is a program of New Image Youth Center with a focus on building strength, leadership and goal setting skills. The Give Team competes in a spring and fall season. With each season, team members set three goals: (1) a physical goal (because nothing is more honest than a physical goal - put in the work, you get the results); (2) an academic goal for students, or a financial goal for alumni team members; and (3) a goal to GIVE BACK to the community. The team's primary motto is, "No matter how little you have, you ALWAYS have something to give. BE STRONG! GIVE MORE!" Instilled in each team member as a member of the Center, it's intended to instill confidence and gratitude with an understanding that each member of the community has something to offer to help others. For members of the team, the motto extends to our workouts. When your mind tells you it's had enough, the challenge has only begun.
