Our aim is to increase the numbers of local people visiting residents of care homes on a voluntary basis. We hope that by increasing the number of volunteers this will increase opportunities for social contact and stimulation for older people living in care homes. We recognise that care homes may be difficult places for some people to visit and so we offer initial training and regular ongoing support for our volunteers. We are currently operating across Wiltshire, Swindon and Bath&NE Somerset. We have plans to reach a national coverage by 2025.
