d.school Malaysia is a learning institution dedicated to the teaching of Design Thinking. It is the leading regional partner of the Hasso-Plattner-Institut School of Design Thinking (HPI D-School) at Potsdam University, Germany, and d-school at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. Its programmes employ the definitive HPI D-School Design Thinking model and coaching methodology adapted to suit the local cultural context. Programmes: Design Thinking: Getting Started Deep Dive: Beyond Ideas Deep Dive: Understand Your Users Design Thinking for Decision Makers Design Thinking Custom Programmes It is the global secretariat as well as a founding member of the Global Design Thinking Alliance (GDTA) to maintain global standards in Design Thinking training and practice. GDTA members include those from Germany, China, South Africa, UK, and the USA. The Coach Exchange Programme (CEP) was formalised under GDTA to foster cross-cultural exchange and further enhance coaching practices. d.school Malaysia also initiated the Design Thinking Association of Malaysia (DTAM) with the main objectives to protect and promote the Design Thinking practice, and to develop practitioners through DT-related activities and events.
