An experienced Chairman, Non Executive Director, Investor,Entrepreneur and Mentor. Neil is a very experienced and well known figure in the UK business community. He invests through his Stephenson Ventures vehicle in a range of different stage businesses and holds various board positions. Having personal experience of working with PE and Venture Capital backed businesses in the tech space, Neil has a unique understanding of how to grow value and deliver exits. His initial executive experience was gained as the CEO of ONYX GROUP, where he managed the growth and development of this very fast growing business focused internet and technology solutions company. Exploiting key strategic assets including large data centres (onyx.net), as well as executing a number of step change acquisitions to grow that business from less than £1m turnover to £30m. Neil exited the business in June 2016 when Onyx was acquired in a deal reportedly worth £65m. Since 2016 Neil has embarked on a NED career, investing in a number of fast growing tech businesses, taking chair roles and helping teams to grow significant businesses, creating value ahead of exits. Neil is always open to working with ambitious entrepreneurial business owners and has an active and ever growing coaching practice.
