BOA Editions, Ltd. was founded in 1976 to provide a vehicle for new and established poets and authors to publish and market high-quality contemporary literature. BOA has published more than 300 books of poetry, poetry-in-translation, short fiction, and prose about poetry and poetics. Numerous BOA authors have received prestigious literary honors including the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award. Scores of BOA titles have been course adopted by professors nationwide and countless individual poems have been selected for classroom discussion and for reprinting in anthologies and textbooks. BOA has an active outreach program, donating hundreds of books a year to local and national organizations seeking to build their literary libraries or expand reading programs.
