Renaissance Knights has inspired over 30,000 children throughout Chicago by providing innovative Chess programs that develop a positive self image and love for learning. Our mission to bring the many educational benefits of Chess to our youth began in 2005, expanding throughout the Chicago Public Schools (CPS), and now—through our exciting Cops & Kids Chess Initiative—is strengthening community relationships as well. With a focus on enriching the lives of our students—while offering opportunities for positive community engagement—we have over 1500 children actively participating within the CPS Academic Competitive Chess Program and our Cops & Kids Chess Initiative this season alone. As our partnership with CPS continues to grow and our Cops & Kids Chess Initiative nearly triples, students not only qualify for the chance to compete at the national level, but can participate within tournaments located at iconic Chicago sites throughout the year.
